Madeline Nadel
Hi Aggies! My name is Madeline Nadel and I am a first-year student majoring in political science. I am running for ASUCD Senate to promote a vision of a connected, sustainable, and creative campus. Specific initiatives I plan to enact if elected include:
1. Aggie Community Nights
- Building community is something I am incredibly passionate about and I aim to do this through periodical events open to all students!
Movie and game nights
Wellness events
- These events will connect students to each other and to this campus in order to create a shared sense of community
- Joining clubs can be intimidating and even difficult. Implementing Aggie Community Nights will create an stress-free space welcome to all students to come together for various community-building activities!
2. Donation and Exchange Drives
- By re-circulating clothing, furniture, and other items, we can reduce waste, overconsumption, and help our environment as well as our wallets!
Clothing swaps
Move-in/out drives
- Donation and exchange drives will allow students to easily redistribute their belongings when moving out and offer a financial stress-free option for students moving in, thus reducing waste and money spent!
3. A Student Maker Fair
- Creating an opportunity for students to showcase their art, talents, and businesses in a fair and market!
Supports student creativity and entrepreneurship
Finding ways to display and promote student art around campus
- The Student Maker Fair will not only promote student creativity and businesses, but also foster a sense of community amongst Aggies
- Whether you are an artist, an entrepreneur, or simply want to check out what fellow Aggies are creating, a Student Maker Fair is the perfect event to support creativity on campus!
Through these specific measures I hope to earn your vote. For a connected, creative, and sustainable UC Davis, vote Madeline Nadel for ASUCD Senate!
