I’m running for ASUCD Senate because I want to help create a campus that feels more affordable, supportive, and genuinely centered around students. As a transfer student, coming into UC Davis was exciting but also overwhelming—especially when it came to navigating costs, finding resources, and figuring out where I fit in. Those experiences made me realize how important it is to have leadership that not only understands these challenges, but actively works to address them.

One of my biggest priorities is lowering student costs. College should be a place where students can focus on learning and growing, not constantly stressing about finances. I want to advocate for more affordable textbook options, expand access to basic needs resources, and push for stronger support systems around housing and food insecurity so students can feel more stable and supported.

I also really value the role student organizations play in shaping our campus experience. Getting involved can make such a difference in finding community and feeling like you belong. I want to make sure RSOs have the funding, space, and institutional support they need, while also improving outreach so more students—especially transfers and those new to campus—feel encouraged and able to get involved.

At the core of my campaign is making sure student voices don’t just get heard, but actually lead to change. Too often, students speak up and don’t see results. I want to help bridge that gap by being someone who listens, follows through, and pushes for accountability within senate. For me, this means staying connected to students, being approachable, and making sure concerns are consistently brought forward and acted on.

My past experiences have shaped how I approach leadership. I’ve been involved in student government before, where I focused on advocacy and outreach, and I continue to volunteer in my community. Through these roles, I’ve learned how to listen to different perspectives, communicate effectively, and work toward solutions that benefit a larger group of people.

Running alongside my slate, DIVAS, I’m committed to helping build a campus that is more equitable, responsive, and supportive for all students. At the end of the day, I want to be someone who shows up, listens, and works to turn student concerns into real, meaningful action.
