I have been a student at UCD for three years and on the board of an RSO for two. I understand what it's like to feel unheard, both in an organization and as a student. That is why my top priorities all focus on creating a comfortable and productive environment for all. Student voices are important to creating a UC Davis in which we can all thrive. When I am elected, this will be the driving force behind my actions. I want to work with you and your RSOs to create and vote on bills and resolutions that benefit you. I want to hear your voices and ideas as to how we can improve our university. My morals and ethical standards are very important to me, as I'm sure they are for many students. I try my best to put my money towards brands and companies that align with my morals and general ethical standards. I know that as a student, a chunk of my tuition is controlled by ASUCD. I expect those elected (including myself) to push for spending that doesn't allow companies that commit or support human rights abuses to profit. I also expect that anything compromising student safety is addressed thoroughly and swiftly. As someone who has been harassed on campus for my race, I know firsthand that there isn't an effective method for holding those who commit these violations responsible. If there is no discipline in response to these actions, they will continue to happen. I will ensure that UC Davis holds people who harass or doxx students, for any reason, responsible.
