Ryan Kan
Hi my name is Ryan Kan and I am running for student senate under the Aggie Alliance slate. Some of my key initiatives include introducing Quarterly Parking Passes, developing programs to Increase Club Engagement, and increasing lighting across campus.
The Quarterly Parking Pass I am seeking to introduce at our school allows for students to have a more convient way to pay for parking. By implementing a quarterly parking pass system, student commuters would no longer have to pay a daily fee for simply attending school. This would also make parking more convenient and cheaper, as daily parking pass costs quickly add up for student commuters.
In addition to enhancing accessibility, we are launching Programs to increase club engagement and foster stronger connections within our community. These programs will include social events and collaborative workshops that all Registered Student Organizations can participate in. By increasing member engagement among Registered Student Organizations, we aim to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive culture where all participants feel valued, motivated, and inspired to contribute to the success of these Organizations. This would also allow student organizations to display their clubs more frequently in public, which can further promote their club in a public environment at our school.
To make our school safe one of my issues is my increasing lighting across campus. Increased lighting on campus will ensure students have the ability to get around safely. A well lit campus can ensure student safety by reducing activities and create a more welcoming enviornment on campus
Together, these issues represent a strategic effort to remove barriers, promote participation, and empower our members to fully engage with the opportunities available within our organization. By addressing practical needs such as parking and technology access while fostering community engagement, we continue to build a supportive and dynamic environment where every member can thrive.
